Just photos

Mexico

left Le Cruceita at around 930 not really knowing how far I would travel today. Only real direction is South to the Guatemala boarder crossing in the next 2 days at a place called Tapachula
The morning was a very pleasant low 2o's and started out in the mountain/jungle with the perfect tar mat under tyre. Once again the riding in this place has left me surprisingly speechless. Today was to prove no different! once out of the hills it was on to the valley floor surrounded in the ever increasing mountain rangers that in compasses the delta.
As the Easterly winds picked up it was not a surprise to see 100's of huge wind turbines! These silent majestic giants where spread through this area that was a sight to behold. With the weather holding as well as it is I was flicking through the k's at a very pleasant speed.
At a small junction I got sucked into a market place but soon got in trouble and could not find a way out. Next I know a policeman is standing beside me hence a very broken conversation took place. At the end of it with directions in place he surprised me by putting his hand on my shoulder and a smile on his face and I think he said something along the lines of have a safe travel. This one gesture left me speechless, something that a 1000 words could not have replaced.
So with the riding like it was I happily continued and even through the down pours that followed on several occasions, I've found myself already at the boarder for tomorrow. A huge smile on my face, in away maybe a little sad to be leaving Mexico, but apprehensive at the next stage of this journey.
My main pleasant surprises of Mexico has to be the amazing roads and riding to be had between towns and villages, the friendly and helpful people I have meet on the way, also the fact that even poor, the is inter WiFi in places you would never expect. Had a listen to the many people that although had good intentions, I might not have gone through here..... thank goodness I can be so dam pig headed sometimes because look what I would have missed out on!!

Riding doesn't get any better

some great colours

Iknow not quite leathers
Left Pincteoa Nacional in lovely weather and headed South again riding through the most perfect terrain a biker could ask for. I've got myself into the pattern of just packing up, fighting the traffic to get out of the place I've stayed in then go until I have to fill up. Once doing that try and grab something to eat, which often doesn't happen, then head away again.
I only rode for about 250k's then turned off heading towards Puerto Anegls which after going through various small villages finally found. Very nice setting and beach so finally feed my tank and force myself to continue. Back to the main Mex 200 but only for another 100 k's since the threat of rain was hanging around.
Hook another right and ended but in place called La Cruceita. Its a place that is set up for the big cruise ships which are due in next month and I believe that in the bay over the hill (yes I in the cheap seats again) so of course is tourist driven and they rely on this. Due to the down turn I think things will be tight for them this year and they seem to know it. Allnall a nice place but I don't think kiwis in general would want to hang here at all.
So parked up again and lets do it all again tomorrow.........

After listening to the rain all night thought we might not get away as earlier as I was hoping for. It was very comfortable having the day off yesterday and did alittle fine tuning with various items so a good day had. We have decided to go slightly separate ways for now, Lutz is going North andI think the others are just going to go slower. So after packing up this morning I headed towards Acapuico. Once again some great riding to be had with clear skies. I was going to by pass Acapuico but at the last minute decided to poke my nose into down town and the beach. Now that was a mistake!! Finally got into down town on some 4x4 type roads, took the pictures then bailed out again to fight the traffic and directions as well. So several hours later and frayed nerves to emerged ok. Hooked back onto Mex200 to follow the coast. I little longer in the saddle than I would have liked but arrived into Pinotepa Nacionl. no to much to add, not on the coast which is where I wanted to land but never mind. Might have to do some repair work after hitting the other side of a pot whole the size of a small country ..... it's another day tomorrow

These are the folks that I've been traveling with for the last few days but about to split off and go our various ways. Been nice to have the company but all with slightly different timetables and desires. I hope to start heading South and be at the Mexican boarder within the next 2-3 days. wouldn't spend to much time traveling through Guatemal, Honduras or El Salador but would like to spent at least a week in Costa Rica and god forbid even do a river or 2 if it could come together. Then once leave there its onto Panama and see about flight/boat to Columbia. Time will tell.

Well this seems to be working ok. still bear with me as I get use to the lay out but at least I know the rough of it all. Ill try and post more photos as well

Got to start somewhere....

Hi all, just trying this out for the1st time and will see how it works.
