15-11 Valparaiso / Santiago

Left Copiapo with unsure intentions on how far we will get today. Weather all good with a mixture of visor treats.... more dry desert and straight roads.
And road works. Don't mind too much as it gave us a chance to peel the layers off. Now all we need to do is find the bike biuryed under all this stuff. Looks very disorganized but infact it all has it's place. Waiting to change the tyre over but the one at the moment just will not die. It's now been 15000k's on the rear and still going.....
As we dropped down out of the high desert started to get a welcome change in photo opportunities .....
and just around the corner the perfect place for the daily brew. caths now in her element with surf sea and sand and a nice cup of tea......
However as I pried her away and back onto the the hard seat (ok memory foam) kicking and screaming we have k's to eat up but it had changed and looking good with some easy highway riding at 120 k's..... but that was just the side winds of course.
As it worked out for the day although there where a few places to stop we got closer the Valpo, and decided to try and stay in the saddle and catch up on a day so we could have a down day there. We did this although it was made harder by a toothless (never trust one of these)(cath) guy giving us wrong directions. The up shot of that was almost 800 k day and almost 12 hours on the bike we got in the dark and hire a cabbie to get us to some digs for the night...... buggered!!
