All started just as it should....more of this kind of riding which I must say while can get boring is still rather fantastic. Winds come up now and then but not as bad as it has been further North.
Although in the desert, there are still areas that through irrigation can be productive even this this god forsaken place..... But still pushing on to Nazca which was a 45ok ride and going well, should bethere mid afternoon with time to settle. 20k's out I though it didn't feel right......
Let me explain, whilst Marks trying tofix thepuncture..... we were overtaking a truck on a piece of tarmac beaten relentlessly into fixed grooves ,and got a bit of a wobble on...no worries, just a blip..one that in fact took an hour and a half to fix.....
the removal of the whole wheel, a ride into a small town with a very friendly family of 1locals,looking for the mechanic in another part of town on his lunch break, and finally on our way
Big thanks to these guys who we would not have had the pleasure of meeting without our puncture and who the guy on the far right was the local policia, this i got to find out (after going with him by myself) when he produced a handgun and waved it at me.
